Our unique, patented casting machine is designed to cast lead alloy strip for the fabrication of battery plate electrodes. Continuous casting of 47cm strip at rates of up to 6,350 kg/hour is achievable. Depending on local operating procedures, actual production for a typical lead-calcium alloy can deliver 22,000 – 31,000 kg per 8 hour shift, up to 4 narrow strips simultaneously.
The TBS caster features a very compact and enclosed lead feed system. Routine monitoring of the caster will demonstrate the lead-in-air emissions around the control console are below 25mg/m³ for a time-weighted average of drossing and normal activity.
